How to become registered pharmacist in UAE :
Health care is divided into three main sectors:
1. Ministry of Health - the federal department
2. Health Authority Aby Dhabi (for Abu Dhabi)
3. Dubai Health Authority (Dubai)
for a candidate to be eligible to work as a pharmacist in Abu Dhabi he has to pass the HAAD and as well as MOH examination (difficult task) and who wish to work in Dubai private sector they have to pass DHA pharmacy exam. The good thing about Dubai (DHA exam) is there is no Arabic.
To register to work within the UAE pharmacists will need to apply to the ministry of health for licensure. In order to gain license to practice pharmacy applicants will be required to complete three stages of examinations.
Arabic Language Exam- fluency in Arabic is mandatory for licensure, applicants will be required to prove they can translate medical terminology from both Arabic to English and English to Arabic
Pharmacy exam- questions will cover broadly most area of pharmacy, clinical, pharmacology, therapeutics, pharmacy calculations, over the counter medicines and patient counseling
UAE Pharmacy regulation Exam- a multiple choice exam based on UAE federal pharmacy law and the UAE code of conduct for pharmacists.
